Community Guidelines

Groups are for pushing each other toward a better week. Be decent, keep it honest, and never push anyone toward hurting their body. Report anything that breaks these rules and we act on it.

1. Who these apply to

Everyone in a group, in every message, name, cheer and nudge. They are part of our Terms of Service.

2. Never allowed

Disordered eating. Anything that praises or encourages starving, purging, extreme fasting or very low calorie targets, “thinspo” or “pro-ana” content, contests for the lowest number, or pressure on someone to lose weight. Members of all ages, from 13, use the app.

Self-harm and suicide. Anything that encourages or instructs self-harm or suicide. If someone in your group seems at risk, report the message, and if you think they are in danger, contact local emergency services.

Harassment and hate. Bullying, threats, insults, shaming someone’s body, or attacking anyone for their race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age or nationality.

Sexual content. Any sexual content or advances. Anything sexual involving a minor is reported to the authorities.

Dangerous advice. Promoting drugs, steroids, unprescribed medication or anything that could seriously hurt someone.

Private information. Sharing someone else’s personal details, photos or health information without their permission.

Spam and scams. Advertising, links to sell something, impersonation, or anything illegal.

3. Reporting and blocking

Press and hold any message, or tap its flag, to report it or block the person who sent it. Blocking hides them from you at once. A report keeps a copy of the message so it can be reviewed even if it is deleted.

You can also report anything, including illegal content, by writing to mypotential.contact@gmail.com. Say what it is, where it is, and why you think it breaks these rules or the law.

4. What we do

A person reads every report. Serious ones are acted on within 24 hours. Depending on how serious it is and whether it has happened before, we remove the content, warn the person, remove them from Groups, or close their account. Content that suggests a child is in danger or a crime is reported to the police.

When we remove something or restrict an account, we tell the person what we did and why. They can ask us to look again within six months by writing to mypotential.contact@gmail.com, and a different decision is possible. The person who reported is told what we decided.
